House of the Dragon

Devised and engineered all sound design for the official off-site activation for HBO’s ‘House of the Dragon’ launch at Comic-Con, San Diego in 2022. The sound design supported the scriptwriters’ user journey of walking through a Dragon’s Den (built by Hollywood set designers) through a total of 12 spaces. Consisting of a mixture of real-world and abstract sounds. Playback was via an immersive speaker arrangement which I specified, some of it looped, some triggered by animatronics and others by audience interaction. Fans camped overnight to enter the event; even George R. R. Martin made an appearance.
This was the largest activation at Comic-Con, San Diego in 2022 with an estimated 130,000 attendees in 2022.
